Xrafstar (“evil animals” in Middle Persian) are vermin/human hybrids. It is forbidden for Ahriman to directly attack humanity, so xrafstar come from possession and contracts.

Xrafstar have three primary fuel sources:

1. Bacteria.
2. Sugar (such as soda).
3. Violence.

The most powerful xrafstar are known as the aristocrats.
