I was lucky enough to be put in the command chair of a certain self-proclaimed "Mr. Sinister of Girl gore" & his Nth run of the game. I had almost no clue what I was in for. As I would soon learn, this was one of my most profound gaming experiences I've ever had, or ever will have, for that mater. Words don't do my feelings on this game justice, all I know is that it reached into the depths of my very being that I, perhaps willingly, forgot.
thank you for making a game for us gross girls, that trait really resonated with me. I'm not a piss drinker but you never know what the future holds
Cancer is the best represented I have felt trait-for-trait in any media ever, I think. I love being gay and a little gross.
money for girls is such a sweet spot between disco elysium and class of 08 except QUEERER and GROSSER and no other work has ever made me feel so seen
im reading cunt toward enemy (in full this time, so far ive only reread the first three or so over and over) and it's really the only thing that's making me feel sane in the constant brainfuck nightmare of life on earth in the 21st century. ive been reading it on my phone in between my turn-based labour at work in the office. i know whenever the world gets too insane i can always come back to porpentine's incredible work and make it feel at once insaner and more digestible. comfort in the shattered flesh!
i feel the desperate urge to write something here. i played (and finished) money for girls and have since been doing a bit of a deep dive into your work. iโm not a very strong person, so the logical part of me looks at what you portray and feels disgusted, almost physically repulsed by what iโm reading. but, weirdly enough, thereโs another part of me that canโt put it down! that strange side of me is growing stronger by the day, and i think iโm glad that itโs winning. all of this to say that i love your nasty little freaks and have thoroughly enjoyed your treatment of them, thank you!
Read a bunch a long time ago, just found out you could write something in the guestbook :3
Came back around to re-innoculate myself as soon as I found out money for girls was a thing, splendid as always
Much love and many regards.
money for girls captured me. absolutely one of the best pieces of art i have consumed 10/10
felt like I had to write something in your guestbook because I've been obsessively devouring all of your writing for the past month or so. I love how unapologetically nasty and grimy and real your characters are. particularly in love with cancer & rubicon
your work helps me think about my own identity in completely new terms. I think I've cried more in the past few weeks than I have in years (good thing)
I'm so happy for you that Money for Girls is popping off and more people are learning about cancer... extremely excited for the boy cancer game...
that's all I have to say... bewa...
hello !! have spoken about it prior to those i hold dear but money for girls is a magnificent, astonishing work, invigorating for the body and the world, gave me a murderous case of stendhal syndrome + hope for all no world dreamers, everything i anticipated and more, wonderful wonderful wonderful and totes walastik, i am so so glad/grateful there is beauty in the world
money for girls is an absolute triumph, thank you so much
I caught the backend of my friends playing Money for Girls and something snagged a fold in the back of my mind that keeps tugging my thoughts back to it. Something deep down underground wants to roll in the slop, the gore, the guano. I want to feel the same filth under my skin and scrape the mucus from the mind of the me that this resonates with from seemingly out of nowhere on a random Tuesday night. I never lived the nasty girl high school nightmare, but something about this story makes me wish the freaky, guilty little guy one I did was closer to it so I could appreciate this more. 9/10 Bimbats bags the blonde equestrian baddie and makes me into the Mr. Sinister of girl gore.
i've read serious weakness three times in the last few weeks and I'm deathly ill with Insul brainworms. is there any kind of fun facts/random info about him u would share or ideas you have that didn't make it into the novel
this writing makes me feel very understood as someone who has taken drugs in the past... thank you
you kinda feel like a sibling separated from me at around 4 yo and my mom keeps telling me you never existed but i keep trying to find you and when i find you and take a look at the hand shrine i go "damn wish i never looked for you haha rofl. anyway got a cig?"
been thinking about your approach to writing the #gendered recently, where it's all approached from the direction that "this is delusional, but delusions make interesting characters."
i think it's at the core of the "but they can't *blank* to girls!" trope. i enjoy it.
i just played maggot therapy for the 1st time and it was so awesome i liked it so much. how do u even think up such fun things! i liked all the maggots and you have the most endearing awesome sick little pervert little characters. very fun!!! โคโคโค๐๐๐๐๐
So fucking cute. That ending.. Oh my godssss... I like how concentrating sweakness into an abridged form ups the percentage of violence by volume. concentrated girl acid. Also I like how different girl Insul is from guy Insul. The rough shapes have been transferred over but she seems more overtly psychopathic and delirious. They're different types of dog, guy Insul is a K9 unit who somehow escaped euthanasia and ended up a stray, but girl Inusl is a coyote with rabies and mange, but both are trying to figure out how to properly imprint themself on someone without killing them for the first time. good stuff
I bought serious weakness a few years ago and it'd been festering on my shelf since. I finally ripped off the bandaid, blazed through the first 150 pages, put it down because it hurt my stomach, and immediately flew through it again. I have about 100 pages to go, but I can't get it out of my head. Trianon and Insul have burrowed themselves into my core. I'm so excited to read everything else you've done, your work is truly so special and is gonna stick with me for an insanely long time <3
Ohhh I didn't notice the guestbook somehow. Long time fan!! Getting a copy of SERIOUS WEAKNESS was the best decision I ever did make.
